Finance Department
The Finance Department is responsible for:
- Budgeting - preparing and monitoring the City's annual budget
- Financial Reporting - preparing and reporting financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
- Accounts Payable - timely processing of vendor payments
- Purchasing - following purchasing laws and obtaining the best value for City purchases
- Treasury Management - banking, investing, and financing functions for the City
- Fixed Asset Management
- Utility Billing - billing, collection and account management services
- Risk Management - coordinates City insurance coverage
- Human Resources - implementation and maintenance of fair and equitable employment practices
- Payroll - disbursement of payroll to City employees
- Information Technology - directing and coordinating all City information systems
- Financial Analysis - general financial counsel to the City Manager and the City Council
