Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for:

  • Budgeting - preparing and monitoring the City's annual budget
  • Financial Reporting - preparing and reporting financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
  • Accounts Payable - timely processing of vendor payments
  • Purchasing - following purchasing laws and obtaining the best value for City purchases
  • Treasury Management - banking, investing, and financing functions for the City
  • Fixed Asset Management
  • Utility Billing - billing, collection and account management services
  • Risk Management - coordinates City insurance coverage
  • Human Resources - implementation and maintenance of fair and equitable employment practices
  • Payroll - disbursement of payroll to City employees
  • Information Technology - directing and coordinating all City information systems
  • Financial Analysis - general financial counsel to the City Manager and the City Council
